Maintaining our own breeding stock and raising our piglets allows us to be certain of the best standards for genetics and animal welfare. We love having our animals on our farm for their entire lives.

Animal Welfare

When we raise our own piglets, we are sure they are living the best lives possible. Piglets get to suckle on their mother for two full months before weaning, which gives them the best possible start in life. The piglets are not confined and have the run of the farm!

We know all our sows by name - they are the heart of our operation. They are never kept in farrowing crates or separated from their piglets early.

Genetics

Maintaining our own breeding stock and raising our piglets allows us to be certain of the best standards for genetics and animal welfare. We raise heritage breeds Berkshire and Tamworth pigs, for pork that is marbled and flavorful.

Our breeding stock is registered and carefully selected for the highest quality of meat, and the healthiest, happiest animals.

Buying Piglets

We sell feeder pigs to several local hog farmers, and occasionally have registered Berkshire breeding stock for sale.

All our piglets are castrated at ten days and weaned at eight weeks. We typically farrow twice a year.

If you are interested in buying feeder pigs or breeding stock, please inquire as to our availability. Reservations are required.
